Description
Brotherhood Riesling comes with a genuine slice of American wine history. Brotherhood, in New York’s Hudson Valley, is the country’s oldest continuously operating winery, tracing its first commercial vintage all the way back to 1839 – and this off-dry white is one of its most-loved bottles.
It pours fruity and aromatic, with delicate floral and lime notes leading into ripe pear and crisp green apple. The gentle sweetness is kept honest by bright acidity, so it finishes clean and refreshing rather than cloying – an easy, friendly glass at around 12% ABV.
Serve it well chilled. That just-sweet, zesty style makes it a natural with spicy Asian dishes, and it’s every bit as good alongside crab, scallops and other seafood, fresh salads, or simply on its own.
