Quintessential Chardonnay notes of pear, baked apple, pineapple, and peach lead the palate, with a touch of Viognier in the blend adding a lift of tropical fruit. The bourbon barrels weave in a warm thread of charred vanilla, toasted caramel, dried herbs, and cedar, building to a creamy, vanilla-caramel finish.
How It Is Made
The wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak, with a portion finished in seasoned bourbon barrels before the final blend is assembled. A portion is also fermented in oak barrels, which lends the wine its signature creamy texture and rounded mouthfeel.
