Description
A 1991 vintage single cask release of a “teaspooned” blended malt whisky that was distilled on 10/30/1991, matured in a single bourbon barrel (cask 7378) and bottled on 04/01/19. A ‘teaspooned’ malt, is when a tiny amount of whisky from another distillery is mixed with whisky from one distillery, so it can’t be sold as a single malt under any distillery’s name. This is a blended malt… virtually Balvenie with a teaspoon of another Single Malt added. Expect fruity aromas with a rich warming sweetness. The palate is full bodied but very rounded, showing a complex swirl of red fruits, coconut, and toasted malt. The finish is long, warming, and satisfying.
