Description
Produced by Nikka’s second distillery, created in 1969, the Miyagikyo single malt is less peaty than its illustrious older brother from Yoichi. Rarely peaty, it achieves a wonderful expression in the versions finished in sherry casks. Within the classic range, the 12 year old offers the perfect balance between bourbon and sherry casks. Rich and concentrated, it is simultaneously fruity, spicy, chocolatey and even slightly salty.
