Description
A limited edition blend of wild and rare Tepeztate and Tobalá agave, harvested from high in the Oaxacan Sierra. Only 2,000 bottles of Sombra Ensamble were created. On the nose, a vegetal and citrus aroma with hints of honey and pepper. On the palate, notes of cake icing, tobacco, orange peel and salted caramel lead into a luxuriously long finish. This special blend of Ensamble Mezcal is made from 61% Tepeztate, part of the agave Marmorata family. The elusive Tepeztate can take as much as 25 years to mature in the wild and grows primarily on the sides of steep rocky cliffs.
